30hr Nursery Places

We’re delighted that you’ve chosen Morden Primary School to begin your child’s educational journey. Our Nursery is a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children learn through play, exploration and creative experiences.

We are very lucky to have not only a fully covered outdoor area, but extensive green space allowing our children to explore many varied educational experiences. During school tours our outdoor space has always drawn compliments due to the multiple activities available for our children.

? Nursery Session Options

At Morden Primary Nursery, we offer flexible provision to meet the varying needs of our families. We currently offer the following options (subject to availability):

  • Universal 15-hour Provision: Free, either AM or PM sessions across the week
  • 35 hours with a DERN code: 30-hour funded provision + 5 additional paid hours per week
  • 35 hours without a DERN code: 15-hour universal entitlement + 20 additional paid hours per week

Like many local nursery schools, we offer a full-time week of 8:30am–3:30pm, which exceeds the government’s 30-hour entitlement. Full-time children must bring a packed lunch each day.

? Fees and Funding Explained

Here’s a breakdown of costs based on your child’s entitlement and whether you are eligible for the extended 30-hour funding:

Important: If you are applying for the 30-hour funding (DERN code), it is your responsibility to apply and reconfirm eligibility every 3 months through the government portal:

Failure to reconfirm your DERN code via the government portal may jeopardise your child's place at our nursery.
